Seuss on the Loose at

hat.jpgCamp Friendship

July 25-29, 2011

Camp is just around the corner and we are all busy getting ready for the children to spend a week exploring the world according to Dr. Seuss.  We’ll start the week with Green Eggs and Ham and do lots of activities with Horton as he Hears a Who and Hatches an Egg.                            Horton.jpg

Tuesday everyone can arrive in  pajamas and our storytellers will read the Sleep Book and I’m Not Going to Get Up Today.  Do  NOT expect to get to nap at camp as we stay busy all day with the babies and young families arriving for their annual visit to camp.  There will be lots of pictures to remember the day.

Wednesday, One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish takes us down to the Aquarium and a later a fish fry.

fish.jpgPut me in the Zoo (ok…not exactly Seuss), If I Ran the Zoo and  If I Ran the Circus will make it a crazy day with lots of polka dots and animals as the Zoo mobile visits on Thursday.

Friday is Family Day and we will read Hop on Pop and meet as many other Seuss Family members as we can before finishing the week.  Our own families are invited to stop in to visit—please check in with me so I know you are on the camp site!  Make lots of room on your child’s shelves and your heart for all the great things they will make and bring home throughout the week.
